What this website is

This website presents Guestax and its services. On it you can read about them, ask for a free audit of a property, and ask us to contact you about the service. You cannot open an account, buy anything or make a payment on this website. These terms cover the website and those requests, and nothing else.

The free audit

A free audit gives general information about the lodging taxes that apply at an address. It is prepared from what you tell us and from official sources published by government offices and booking platforms, as they stand on the day we prepare it. Rates, rules, portals and platform arrangements change, sometimes without notice.

Nothing on this website, and nothing in a free audit, is tax, legal or accounting advice, and neither creates a professional or client relationship with us. Before acting on it, check it with the office that collects the tax or with a qualified professional. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any government office, or by Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com or Expedia; their names are used only to describe where guests book.

Our services are provided under a written agreement

What this website says about our services, including their description, prices, guarantee and answers to frequent questions, is general information and not an offer. Guestax provides its services only under a separate written agreement signed by you and by us, and that agreement alone sets what we do, what it costs and what each side is responsible for. If anything on this website differs from a signed agreement, the agreement prevails.

Asking for a free audit or asking us to contact you does not commit you or us to anything.

Using the website fairly

Please give us accurate information, and only about properties you own or manage or are authorized to ask about. Do not submit requests automatically or in bulk, copy the website's content at scale, probe or disrupt its security, or use it for anything unlawful. We may refuse or stop answering requests that break these rules.

Our content

The website's text, design and software belong to Guestax or its licensors. The names and photographs of the properties shown, and third-party trademarks, belong to their respective owners. Laws, ordinances and other official documents we refer to belong to the public record.

No warranties

The website and the free audit are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the information is complete, current or fit for a particular purpose.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Guestax is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for taxes, penalties or interest, arising from the use of the website or of a free audit. Our total liability for any claim about the website or a free audit is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute about them belongs to the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
